The world and the things that fill it from the perspective of an American male in his early twenties.

Probably my most anticipated movie for the foreseeable future is “The Dark Knight”. There are a lot of movies I am really excited about, but this is the one that I fully expect to meet and exceed my expectations.

Here are few goodies to wet your appetite until July 18 (of next year).

First, the Batbike. I remember my first impression of the Batmobile from Batman Begins and I was worried. It looked like the machine Bebop and Rocksteady used to dig around chasing after the ninja turtles. Then I saw it move and how it was used and I was floored. Now comes the bike and my first impression, well – lets just say I wet myself a little.

The engines (plural) are in the wheels and you steer with your shoulders! Just like the batmoblie (though it had more than one version) this is a working bike, not just a model to be animated with a computer. You can fill’er up and drive to Wendys.

Next up, the suit. A serious improvement over the past attempts. (Yea for no nipples and leave the codpiece to clockwork please) This is from an article in Entertainment Weekly and pretty much sums up everything I know about the suit.

And at last we have the Villains. I have a theory that I hope proves true. There is an interview with the director, Chris Nolan, on the DVD of Batman Begins in which he says he wasn’t really into comics until a friend gave him a copy of the graphic novel “Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth” by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Dave McKean. It was dark, it was adult, it was good. It only had certain villains in the story and that will either serve to disprove my theory or help support it as time passes.

First in Batman Begins the villain of importance to my theory is Scarecrow – he has gone mad and is in Arkham (well, was in Arkham) at the end of the first movie. Next up, the Joker and after that Twoface. If Chris Nolan continues down this path we will see Clayface, Killer Croc , The Mad Hatter , Maxie Zeus , Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum, Black Mask , Professor Milo , and Doctor Destiny. I do not think we will see Penguin, Catwoman, Riddler, Mr.Freeze or the like. I think he is building up to making a movie out of “Arkham Asylum”. I haven’t figured out how many movies it would take, but I figure he can get between 1 and 3 villains in Arkham per movie and we already have Scarecrow, Joker and Twoface from the first 3 and many of the characters listed above can be added in as secondary villains. In fact many of them could appear for the first time in Arkham as they only lend a line or two to the story.

Now, how do I know about Twoface? Well, first you have to know a basic Batman fact:Twoface's real name is Harvey Dent.

The following site revealed 3 things – Harvey Dent would be in this movie, he would be played by Aaron Eckhart, and thus Two-Face will more than likely be in movie three.

Then this site originally showed the same poster, but with clown eyes, nose and mouth sloppily drawn over his face and he word “too” drawn in at the end of the sentence. It slowly faded out to reveal our first glimpse of Heath Ledger as the Joker. It was soon replaced with the site that is there now, which appears to just say “Page not found.” (But just press Ctrl+A and you will get a suprize).

Anyway- in closing I leave you with the Joker. Not since Jack Nicholson’s portrayal have we had a Joker that you could honestly picture killing people, but I think this will do it…

Orly?Yrly!: The voice of the Joker was done by Mark Hamill in Batman: The Animated Series.
